Tester Perfumes Vs Regular Bottles

A question that I’ve been asked a lot is whether a tester perfume is the same as the retail bottle. Here’s all you need to know about tester perfumes vs regular perfumes.

In Many cases, the testers come with no cap or fancy boxes. If that does not matter to you I would highly recommend buying a tester. First of all, you will save some money. Secondly, in some cases (not all) the testers are actually a better quality juice. What do I mean by that?

This happens a lot when you go to test a perfume in Sephora, Macy’s or other stores, you spray it on your skin and you love it, you go home and the scent lasts on your skin for more than 10 hours. But, when you buy the bottle it does not perform as well. The reason is that some brands make their testers a little stronger. It is not to deceive you but to help you experience the scent longer. Also since they are made to be sprayed all day and be open it helps that they make it last longer.

The other difference that you may see is that some brands put a clear label with the fragrance notes on the back of their tester bottles.

So would I recommend buying a tester instead of a regular bottle? 100% but, just like retail bottles buy them only from sources that you trust.

How to Layer Perfumes?

Why would you want to layer your perfume?

If you ever wanted to have a unique scent you can make your own without knowing any perfumery. I’m going to make it simple and easy and allow for creativity.

 

  1. Start Heavy

Start with the heavier scents so what you put on top won’t disappear.

 

  1. Know your fragrance families

Do your research or better yet find out through trial and error which notes works best together or you like best.

The easiest way is no stay in the same family. May it be floral, sweet, fresh…

The other way is to combine opposite families like sweet (vanilla note) and spicy, or other combinations that you might like.

 

  1. Don’t forget your lotions

Don’t forget that you can use any of your body oils and scented body lotions as well. In other words, you do not need to use perfumes all the time, which is great news because that can be quite expensive.

 

These three simple rules are all you need to know. Now you can create your own unique scent.

DIY Leg Scrubs

 

Have you had one of those days that you wear your favorite dress and it looks like you haven’t shave your legs for a week? And you are thinking to yourself how that is even possible I’ve shaved them yesterday! Yes, it happens to all of us.

If you don’t want those black pores on your legs, try scrubbing before shaving.

Here is one of the best I found for a leg scrub.

 

What you need:

1 ¼ Cups sugar

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

¾ cup coconut oil
