Dubai EmeraldWhen the elegance of New York City meets the charm of the Middle East it creates the new collection of Bond no 9, The Dubai line. This is a review of Dubai Emerald by Bond NO.9 .

The Bond NO.9 website describes the collection as “a new collection of modernistic New York-inspired Arabian perfumes.” And Dubai Emerald is a true icon of this collection.

As the name suggests you should be expecting an Arabian scent. The perfume is leathery and woody. It has a warm spicy scent mixed with floral (rose) notes.

Saffron, hyssop

Heart Notes

rose, gurjum, balsam

Base notes

patchouli, sandalwood, amber, cypriol, leather

Best Perfumes for the Gym

I’ve been asked to do a piece on the best perfumes for the gym.  I know many people are opposed wearing perfume to the gym but let’s be honest here people, not everyone can stay fresh and smell good after sweating for an hour in the gym.

If you don’t want to wear a perfume you can wear deodorant (scented or unscented), scented body lotion or body splash. But, if you are like me and addicted to perfumes then be careful. Do not spray too much, the gym is the worst place for overpowering perfumes; and be mindful of others when choosing your scent.

These are some recommendation from me but you can choose anything fresh or mild. Try to go for perfumes with softer sillage.

DIY Leg Scrubs

 

Have you had one of those days that you wear your favorite dress and it looks like you haven’t shave your legs for a week? And you are thinking to yourself how that is even possible I’ve shaved them yesterday! Yes, it happens to all of us.

If you don’t want those black pores on your legs, try scrubbing before shaving.

Here is one of the best I found for a leg scrub.

 

What you need:

1 ¼ Cups sugar

3 tablespoons of lemon juice

¾ cup coconut oil

 

Mix them all in a bowl and whip them. That’s it! Your scrub is ready to use.Homemade sugar scrub with lime and coconut on wooden background

This is an essential part of summer. Even though Waxing leaves your legs smoother and last longer, not many of us can wait for our hair to grow sufficiently long before booking our next appointment. So we choose to shave.

Don’t forget to buy your Tan Enhancer and make sure it has SPF. Some good brands that I know of are Hawaiian, Australian Gold and Jergens.
