How to Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer Using Perfume?

These days we all hear about the importance of hand sanitizer, but unfortunately, there is a national shortage of hand sanitizers and rubbing alcohol. So we are getting creative and putting this blog together to share with you, How to Make Your Own Hand Sanitizer Using Perfume?

Obviously, we are just doing this as a fun, last resort experiment. Given the fact that EDT fragrances have typically higher alcohol content ( 80%-95%) we wanted to experience making our own hand sanitizer in the absence of alcohol.

What you need:

1 cup Eau de Toilette

1/3 cup Aloe vera Gel ( or Bio-oil, or Baby Oil)

Clean Bowl

Dispenser

Just add all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them, No need to add essential oils, the perfume will already add a pleasant scent.

The amounts are going to give you about 200ml of hand sanitizer so you can make the amount you need accordingly. Personally, we filled an empty atomizer with it and take it on the go. The portion needs to be 1 part gel to 3 part perfume.

What to do with your empty perfume bottles?

We have been collecting our perfume bottles to do a series of DIY projects. I personally think these bottles are too beautiful to be thrown out, so let’s recycle them.

First Project is a decal display. This one is the easiest one.

All you need is empty perfume bottles and a clean wall. Using a mounting tape, tape your bottles to the wall in your own design. This works for a bathroom, beauty room or even a bedroom.

This is a sample picture to show you can do this with as little as 3 bottles and the more you have the more designs you can make. You can play with colors to make it more interesting.

DIYI hope these fun little projects help you to save and recycle your fragrance bottles.Facebooktwitterredditpinterestlinkedinmail
